M STUDIO Design Consultants Inc. was established in 2003 by partners May Cheng and Marilou Rudakewich. The inception of this firm was a
natural transition for both designers. Coming from a background focusing on hospitality design, they have extensive experience in a wide
variety of projects such as restaurants, resorts, hotels, kiosks, public spaces and offices. They believe that people's environments
influence their quality of life at work, home and play. Their work incorporates the social aspects of today's life and blends them
seamlessly with architectural elements that create an environment that reflects the client's vision.
Designers
Marilou Rudakewich
- Graduated from University of Manitoba with a Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design.
- Has extensive hospitality design experience with interior design firms focusing on resorts, restaurants, hotels, high end residential, small office, and lobbies.
- Has worked in prominent architectual firms in Vancouver on large scale, commercial projects such as Electronic Arts and UNBC.
- Registered Interior Designer, member of the IDIBC, BC Building Code Course.
May Cheng
- Graduated from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute with a Bachelor's degree of Applied Arts in Interior Design.
- Has a broad range of work experience which includes working at a general contracting company in their design and construction management department.
- Has worked as an independent design consultant in hospitality Interior Design firms on projects that range from restaurants, cafes, sales centers, and Club Intrawest resorts.
- Registered Interior Designer, member of the IDIBC, LEEDS Accredited Professional.
Both designers travel extensively and draw on their experiences as part of their design inspiration.
